ELITE RIDERZ CHARITY RUN
On 11 July 2020 Elite Riderz MC, affectionately known as Mzantsi Brown Nation in biking circles, visited Tlhatlhaganyane Village Rustenburg in the spirit of charity. Elite Riderz MC is a national bikers club which has a footprint in 6 provinces of South Africa, with one of it’s biggest objectives being to use the power and influence of two wheels to better the lives of the least fortunate.
It was on 3 July 2020, when one of Elite Riderz MC club members visited his family in one of the remote villages around Rustenburg where he came across an extremely impoverished family led by very old woman. He discovered that the elderly woman was living with 6 of her grandchildren and didn’t have any support structures around her.
The Elite Riderz MC member immediately shared what he had recently discovered with his club. A brief meeting was held, and the club decided to take immediate action in trying to alleviate the poor family’s financial crisis.
On the 11th July 2020, the Elite Riderz MC Rustenburg chapter headed to the Tlhatlhaganyane Village to give the old lady a surprise visit. All COVID-19 precautionary measures where adhere to in duration of the visit . The following contributions were made to the family:
1. Groceries to last a period of 6 months
2. Clothing for all 6 children
3. Winter Blankets
4. Masks and Sanitizers.
5. Other goods to the value of R5000.
It took a small effort from our side to assist a family in dire need of basic supplies of which have an enormous impact on their survival. The warm smile and excitement we received from the old lady reassured the club that our efforts were not in vain. The club is thrilled about the prompt response and swift action they took to heed this call. All members reported safe at their respective destinations. As a club,we believe that our greatness is not in what we have, it’s in what we give…
